J\u00e9zus megkeresztelked\u00e9s\u00e9nek eml\u00e9k\u00e9re a templomokban ezen a napon vizet szentelnek.<br \/>\nA temesv\u00e1r-belv\u00e1rosi Szent Katalin templomban magyar nyelven bemutatott szentmis\u00e9n M\u00e1rton G\u00e1bor Benedek ny. lelkip\u00e1sztor az \u00fcnnep jelent\u0151s\u00e9g\u00e9r\u0151l \u00e9s annak \u00fczenet\u00e9r\u0151l besz\u00e9lt hom\u00edli\u00e1j\u00e1ban. A szentmise v\u00e9g\u00e9n pedig meg\u00e1ldotta a vizet, majd meghintette vele a templomban egybegy\u0171lt h\u00edveket.
